When purchasing scissors, the first consideration is choosing either a Japanese style scissor or a German style scissor.

What’s the difference?

Japanese style scissors primarily use a CONVEX EDGE and will generally have ergonomic (offset) handles.

German style scissors primarily use a BEVEL EDGE and will generally have straight handles.

We specialise in Japanese style scissors however we can also source German style scissors if desired.

Scissor Sharpening

Periodically your scissors will need to be sharpened. How often this should be done will vary and can depend on several factors. Even with careful use, at some point you’ll notice that your scissors are less sharp. This is normal and scissors can be sharpened multiple times throughout their lifespan.

Sharpening services start from $65.00 per pair. Discounts available with 3+ sharpenings at the same site.
